designed to carry loads straight to the ground
I mainly look for designs that can be made with the engineering described on this page from Popular Mechanics of Mexico http://www.eltallerderolando.com/2011/12/14/manual-de-autoconstruccion-de-vivienda-2/
These design mostly eschew cantilevers and walls tend to be continuous from foundation to attic. this lends it self to my targeted construction methods. Good examples: Pg 31 six room stucco which will need only the addition of built-in masonry book shelf and desk nooks at either end of fireplace wall to become useable.
Pg 54 six room brick works as is, but desperately needs a half bath D/S as do many of these designs.
